I've been pondering something for awhile now. Do I need to actually purchase the first two seasons of Downton Abbey? I rarely buy copies of movies, and I rarely buy copies of books. Netflix, Red Box, and the Library work just fine. Then there are those rare occasions when I am so captivated by a story that I think about it often and for a very long time. In these cases, I think a purchase is in order. Downton Abbey is the kind of series that fits this category. Not only do I love the story, but I've really been fond of Julian Fellowes ever since I discovered him as Lord Killwillie in Monarch of the Glen. (Which I would purchase, because it is one of my all time favorites; except for the fact that near the end of season 3 they blew up Hector. I still can't decide if I can forgive them for that. But I digress...) Combine these reasons, which are pretty good, with the fact that Mother's Day is coming up, and hey! the perfect present from hubby to me!
