Hubby's herb garden
Hey there!
The pea trellis/teepee
strawberries in bloom
Spent the weekend planting FLOWERS!
I must say this is one of my most favorite times of year. This year I let the small one pick out lots of the flowers I put in the pots on the front and back porches, and since she has her own "garden" I let her pick out the flowers for that too. Hope always springs eternal at this time of year, and here's what I hope: I'm hoping my flowers will grow and fill the pots I put them in, not die from lack of water as I get busy with other things. I hope my garden will grow and provide lots of yummy produce and not be overrun with bugs. I hope the baby chicks will survive and not get eaten by the neighborhood's roaming cats, or fly over the fence and into the road (and forget to actually cross the street) and get hit by a car. This batch seems more flight prone than the last. I hope the dandelions stay away, and the morning glory goes to sleep under the new garden fabric laid under the freshly spread mulch. I hope the hummingbirds that built a nest in our backyard tree return for round two. Most of all, I hope I can remember to slow down and take time to enjoy the whole show.
Happy Spring!
