Mother's Day

Just a few thoughts on the great Mother's Day I enjoyed this past weekend...

I love still having a small person around the house.  I love when she makes grammatical errors, and gets words wrong, and spells things incorrectly.  I am in no hurry to correct any of that with this last one like I conscientiously did with the first one.  All of the sudden, her childhood seems to be moving along at the speed of light and I am powerless to stop it.  As a wonderful example of what I am talking about, take a look at her attempts to proclaim me #1 mom on her mother's day card this year: I am officially the 1 cent mom.  This card is a keeper.

The boy sent me an electronic greeting on facebook.

I love you mommy happy mothers day :D ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The always lovely middle child wrote a heartfelt card with lots of love and hearts and smiley faces (as 13 year olds are inclined to do).

Hubby surprised me with a new charm to go on my Tiffany bracelet he gave me a few years ago; a little graduates cap to commemorate my recent graduation from college.  Of course anything from Tiffany's is a great hit with me!  I haven't taken it out of the box yet to put it on the bracelet, because I really just love the box so much.  I think he thinks I don't like it, but I'm really just making the moment last.  Besides, my bedroom is still such a mess from our recent trip to Disneyland - luggage and laundry still not put away - I can't open a Tiffany's box in a messy room.  It needs some respect people! :)

To top it all off, I was spoiled with breakfast in bed and a beautiful dinner,
all cooked, served, and cleaned up - (here comes the best part) - not by me!

Mostly I just love being with my family.  In that respect, whether I get a day off from chores or not, every day is Mother's Day.
